Guest guest
Hi, Where the fibroids are located will be the deciding factor for UAE. It may not be a option. You can have a myo. You want to get an experienced doc for this. You can get new fibroids. You can have a hyst, different kinds. Even not wanting kids, a hyst could mean future problems. You may be trading your current problems for a new set of problems. There's no easy answers. I chose myo. UAE was not a option. Hyst was too permanent with too many unanswered questions and potential problems. Some women have sexual disfunction after. Too risky for me. If you have a myo, hyst is a option even later. But you have to remember new meds and treatments will be coming. With few symptoms you may want to wait and see. Get a check for anemia. Many women with normal periods have anemia. You are bleeding heavy for 2 days. Slow FE iron with vitamin C will fix anemia. Don't let this go. Also remember many docs do not have the skill to do a myo or UAE, therefore recommending hyst. There are three fibroids ranging in size from 8 cm to 5 cm (others are smaller). I am 42 and no longer have the desire to have more children. I really don't have many symtoms other than heavy bleeding the first two days, lower back pain and some abdominal pressure. Anyone have advise as to proper treatment? I am currently waiting for my Dr. to call with options. Also what questions should I pose to the Dr. Thanks for your advise!
