Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I got my forearm crutches on Tuesday. I decided to just go ahead and order them and skip the PT consult. I am glad I did! My mom patiently taught me how to use them and it took me the better part of Tuesday to really figure them out (Isn't she just the best? I don't know what I would do without her). I am walking steady and strong and have only " almost " fallen once or twice. And I haven't totally fallen at all. I am so excited about this and have no doubt that it will only be a short period of time before I am running around the house with just one crutch. I got the Walk Easy brand with a full cuff, and I can't believe how lightweight they are. They also have this almost fallproof tip on them, which is great for those of us with sometimes wobbly arms! I am just really excited and happy that they worked out so well for me. And more importantly (ok maybe it isn't important hehe) they are a purple color! Which just tickles me pink of course, if I have to have medical equipment I very much prefer ones that are colored! I want to thank all of you for your help and guidance regarding my crutches. I learn so much here, and you are all so helpful. I am so grateful I found this list all those years ago! Keep Smiling, Nikki
