Sheesh Laurie, What a flake, like you really needed that extra

stress. Hope things can get straightened out if your case

manager can get working on it.

Can you read Spanish???? :-)

Best Wishes, Anita

Not a single word!

My case manager is good, so I am confident that she will work things out.

I have to share with you that this sounds much like my experience lately. My

insurance changed durable medical equipment suppliers. Has this ever been fun.

Just to give you one example of the joys of the new supplier - in March - my

physician wrote a script for a new mask. It's a Nasal Air mask and she wanted

me to have it before the March 26th surgery. Well.. I had gotten 2 nasal pillows

(cost of about $6.00) so my expert RT told me that I would have to wait until

June to get the Nasal Air as the pillows are considered a mask and the insurance

requires 90 days between masks. OK. well I guess she's right. I made a note on

my calendar to contact her on June 17th which was the date she requested my call

back. I called yesterday but she was out of the office. The girl who answered

wanted to take a message so I told her exactly why I was calling. She said..let

me check your account. She came back after checking the account and said.. we

show that you received the Nasal Air on March 19th. I said What???? She said

you have them. I told her .. no.. my RT wouldn't leave it because of the

insurance issue.

Well.. this am.. the RT called me. She said she was sure I had the Nasal Air

but when I reminded her of our conversation, she said she vageuly remembered

this. I told her that she had brought the mask twice but could only leave it if

I paid for the mask myself. Since the wait was only 90 days, I had told her I

would wait but I have to tell you I really questioned that 90 day wait with a

prescription from my doctor.

Now.. she's going to check into this and she'll let me know how she made out

when she comes to the house on Thursday morning to pick up the CPAP with the

Tytrate testing I'm doing for 2 weeks at home.

Hang in there, Laurie. Yo no entiendo el español cualquiera.

It does seem we are once again traveling similar roads. I don't know about

you, but I am ready to get off the road and sit some place else.

I hope you get your problems ironed out. It has got to be frustrating to

spend so much of our limited energy dealing with such things. I sometimes

wonder how much better we would all feel, if we didn't have to fight these

battles all the time.

Did Bryce have his surgery or is it next week? How did he do if it has

already happened.
