Guest guest
Both of you - thanks for your input. Like I said, there are definite, legitimate medical reasons for using it. It is just that it is too frequently used when it really isn't the best option available. And the patient isn't always fully informed about either it or the alternatives. My main knowledge of it is cosmetically for wrinkles and medically for trigger points. I don't have much of any knowledge on the other medical applications. Input from folks who have had it done, good or bad, is really helpful. Even for trigger points, like I said earlier - it does work. If someone wants a very fast, temporary " fix " - it will do the job. And if anyone chooses to go that route, that is their choice and I am in no position to criticize that decision. The only position I am taking on the subject is that I want people on this list to be able to make that decision on their own, based on knowledge of what is involved and available to them - and not just because a doctor tells them they have to. Again, thanks to both of you for chiming in.
