Not something I am looking forward to but it is the process. Did you have to go to hearing? Guest guest
Debbi, No I did not have to go before the judge, I won it on my appeal after my first denial, but I hired an attorney anyway. So it must have helped. I was sure since I was turned down the first time I would be turned down again, even though my case was solid and strong, so many surgeries and everything else. My husband took me to the bank today to deposit my check, It was a truley WONDERFUL felling!!!! You can still get it if your young, just have all the documentation and use the SSA law 14.06. EDS falls under this heading of undifferentiated connective tissue disorders. These are termed so severe they have to give you disability. You can look it up under www.ssa.gov Good luck, I hope you get a date soon! I'll be thinking of you.
