Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for that reminder. Is MG Myasthenia Gravis? Yes, I have already been diagnosed in the past with CFS/FM. This particular neurologist is one the Mito specialist is sending me to. This neurologist is very familiar with Mitochondrial Disorders, so I assume, can distinguish the difference between the two. I hope. :-) I will keep that in mind though. Perhaps the appt won't go as expected, so for me, it is always better to be prepared for that and not get a nasty surprise. Thanks a lot. Guest guest
Adam MG is Myasthenia Gravis and there are tests to rule this out. One can be done with an EMG. They repeatly stimulate a muscle (mine was done in my hand) to see if a certain kind of fatique reading is obtained. There are other tests, but I'm not sure what is involved as it was ruled out with the EMG. One is the tinsilon test. laurie > From: adamm321@... > Reply-To: > Date: Sun, 13 Jun 2004 06:01:16 EDT > To: > Subject: Neuro specialist appt coming up..suggestions for questions > to ask? > > Hi , > > Thanks for that reminder. Guest guest
Yes, MG is Myasthenia Gravis. It is good to hear that you do have a mito doc. Even actual mito docs don't always agree, so it makes it even more of a challenge for us to know how to go about things. I hope you will be able to get the the UMDF conference in August. It will give you a good idea of all the different ideas that are out there right now. It is a very young field and even the specialists are learning more each and every day. adamm321@... wrote: >Hi , > >Thanks for that reminder. Is MG Myasthenia Gravis?
