Guest guest Posted June 12, 2004 Report Share Posted June 12, 2004 There are over the counter herbs that claim to have SSRI benefits, and your doc would be well aware of these, and he/she can make a suggestion in that department, if you are open to it, and want to go that route first. Or if they suspect poor nutrition, or nutritional issues with absorption, they may suggest vites/minerals/something else.... that is over the counter. Hard to say. Depends on what is going on with you.... Your doc may have some other ideas though, maybe do a blood/urine check for some things... your depression may be due to something that is treatable separately. I'd at least talk to them about it if you think it might help. You don't have to take their advice if it doesn't fit your needs.
