The laws vary state to state on handicapped stickers, but usually if

you can't walk 100 feet without assistance (or stopping to rest), have

certain heart problems, or some other specific ailments, there is a

standard " sign off " you doc can do.... I would assume in most states

the doc can also list " other " issue that prevents/creates a walking

problem for you depending on your diagnosis....

Contact your local DMV or BMV and find out what form to take to the

doc.... they should be able to even mail it to you.

You usually have to put the license plate number or VIN number on the

application too, and fill out whether it's a temporary or permanent

handicapped sticker. Also, you can usually get a tag (minimal charge)

or a license plate (they charge a little more for that). The tag is

easier because you can move it from car to car, or to any car the

person who it belongs to is in....

Yes, my doctor listed " Other " and the specific illness, at the time

my diagnosis was myasthenia gravis, which does cover my symptoms

pretty well, although now has been disproven for me.

Take care,
