Guest guest
Dear , I would ask for the consults, if I were you. It is important to establish a baseline for your overall physical status. Plus, it's good to know a doc with whom you are compatible before you might need one in a hurry. Muscle cramps, often affecting both entire legs simultaneously, have been one of my major problems, esp. when I overdo. My neuro says that valium is the best med for this. I have tried quinine and meprobamate in the past, but they did not work. Good luck. Sincerely,
Guest guest
and You might want to have your electrolytes (including magnesium) checked if you haven't done so lately. I know my cramping is much worse when my electrolytes are out of balance. laurie > From: BDS31@... > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 10 Jun 2004 16:03:33 -0400 > To: > Subject: Re: muscle cramps > > Dear , > I would ask for the consults, if I were you. Guest guest
Dear Laurie, My magnesium is always low, and docs are watching it. i have been on mg for about a month, but sometimes it gives me diarrhea---and I have to do alot of driving. Yes, the cramps have been better, but then the diarrhea causes more cramping! What's a body to do! Sincerely,
Guest guest
Have you tried more than one brand of magnesium and do you split the dosage thoughout the day? Making sure I take it with food also helps. It is hard to balance the pros and cons. laurie > From: BDS31@... > Reply-To: > Date: Sat, 12 Jun 2004 20:36:11 -0400 > To: > Subject: Re: muscle cramps > > Dear Laurie, > My magnesium is always low, and docs are watching it. i have been on mg > for about a month, but sometimes it gives me diarrhea---and I have to do > alot of driving. > Yes, the cramps have been better, but then the diarrhea causes more > cramping! > What's a body to do! > Sincerely, > > > > >
Guest guest
Laurie, I take only 500mg, in the morning. I'll try dividing the dose--with my handy pill-splitter. Thanks for the suggestion. And, yes, I have tried different forms of magnesium, but they all seem to affect me in the same way. Take care.
Guest guest
I hope that spreading it out will help. I have Puritan's Pride in 250 mg. long pills which have a spot to break them. If the spitting helps you might want to try getting some smaller dosage ones to make it easier. laurie > From: BDS31@... > Reply-To: > Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 15:35:54 -0400 > To: > Subject: Re: muscle cramps > > Laurie, > I take only 500mg, in the morning.
