Hi

Guess what, I now have power, phone and server working. Not sure how stable

it is, but hopefully I will be able to stick around for a bit. We have

already had 9 inches of rain this month - most during this past weeks, along

with severe thunder storms and tornadoes. The school I work at is closed

tomorrow, since the entire town is still without power. There are still

trees across some roads and many traffic lights out. There were none working

Friday afternoon. I will still work tomorrow, as I have IEPs scheduled for

the school in the other district.

I'll catch up on things when I get home tomorrow.

Hi Laurie, Good to see you back on line. We also got a bad hit from

those storms, so much rain that we feel we will soon be part of Lake

Michigan. There is major flooding all over the area. Schools are closed

here too due to power outages. We got through the latest storms with power

personally, but took a lightening strike with an earlier one on our cable

junction box knocking out broadband and cable.

May we remember these days when we are praying for rain again :-) Cheers,

Ruth

Yes, we do have to remember the rain when it isn't every day and night. I

was beginning to think we should build an ark. I went down a city street

this afternoon and there were trees in every yard down, holes in roofs,

windows broken, power poles down or leaning and power lines broken and down.

We actually have some intersections that had traffic lights that have

temporary four way stops and no traffic light at all. I'm sure it is only

temporary as it is a busy intersection. There are still many traffic lights

not functioning.

I hope you begin to dry out a bit.

I agree. It takes a lot of effort for me to manage these things over the phone

using the relay. And they wonder why I get frustrated.

Thanks for asking about Bryce. He had the surgery on Wednesday and it went

well. It only took an hour and they did use propofal. Other than a lot of

pain, he's doing very well and is home.

I'm glad Bryce did well with the surgery. I hope his pain diminishes

quickly.
