But pressed and you would describe my sister has a possibilty because of her long fingers. But she lab tested negative. Now I have almost the facial features, which stumped me because those pictures were in the earlier publications of medical books. Anyway, I see people all the time with thin skin, not much of the blue coloration though. Honestly I probably would not be able to recognize it. But I have been told by my eye doctor that I did not have it. However my daughters internist who studied at Emory in the recent past did state she had it. I may see what he is talking about, but I have always written it off to blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skinned reasoning. She does have eds though. We both have VEDS (IV). kim

Guest guest
Hi Jo, I have pale skin and blue sclera - sometimes it's more blue then on other days. The blue sclera are a sign of a connective tissue disorder and can be seen in all types of EDS. It is also present in Marshall-smith syndrome, OI types I and II, -SC phocomelia, and -Silver syndrome, Hallermann-Strieff syndrome, trisomy 18, and syndrome, Grant syndrome, pseudoxanthoma elasticum and there are others!. Iron deficiency can cause his as well in some and blue sclera may also be acquired through long-term use of corticosteroids. Jill
