Guest guest
Just thought I'd add - We got these bands for my kids when we crossed the English channel on a ferry. Not one of them got sea sick, but I sure did! I put them on after I started getting sick, and I think it was too late. So, maybe if you wear them all the time, it will help, rather than just putting them on when you feel sick. I don't know - just a thought....... Re: Mike-Morning Sickness Hi Claire, The sea sickness bands that Jill suggested are very good for pregnancy related nausea - my cousin was really ill while carrying her first child and tried all sorts of things. She finally tried the wrist bands out of desperation and found they helped enormously. I hope that you find something that works well for you Darl and the nausea subsides soon. Take care. Guest guest
OK - back with yours again. If you haven't already seen it, I did reply to Jill and Jo about the seasickness wrist bands and agreed that they were good things because they were actually working some acupressure points. Here are some others you can use. Stomach 36 - four finger widths below the kneecap, one finger width outside of the shinbone. A muscle should flex as you move your foot up and down Benefits: aids digestion and relieves nausea, stomach disorders and fatigue. It is also a constipation point. Liver 3 - on the top of the foot, in the valley between the big toe and the second toe (where it feels like bones or tendons coming together) Benefits: relieves nausea and cramps. Stomach 45 - on the outside of the base of the nail of the second toe Benefits: relieves nausea, indigestion, food poisoning, toothaches and abdominal pain There are a couple of others but I think the descriptions are too complicated to walk through with out having detailed pictures to go with them. Also, as you get further along, there are other points that can be used for relieving labor pains and postpartum recovery. There is also one ankle point that is forbidden for use during pregnancy with one obvious exception. It is forbidden because deep pressure can help induce labor. The obvious exception is if the doctor says you are ready and you want labor to start. In addition, there are points that can help with many of the discomforts of pregnancy, such as low back pain, but I will cover those for those conditions rather than just for pregnancy. > Hi Mike, > > I am 6 weeks pregnant & I was wondering if there is any way massage can > help with feeling sick. Guest guest
Hi all, Thanks for all your advice. I got the Sea Bands & they seem to be working, but they feel abit uncomfortable on my wrists where the white bit of plastic pushes on the accupresure point.
