I was wondering if anyone else has had a reaction to benzocaine used

for dental work. Went to the dentist this morning and had to have

them stop... in the middle of applying this to numb the area for the

injection. Felt very strange and dizzy, etc.

(I did give the dentist the list of meds to avoid, but he didn't see

this on there so we didn't think it would be a problem).

Maggie

I can't use the benzocaine or Lanocaine or anything like that. I itch and

break out in hives. I know I am allergic to the preservative in the

injectable kind, but I'm not sure the cream and/or get have a preservative

or not.

I hope you are feeling better.

Interesting; thanks for the link. I don't know if this will work to

repair a leaky filling, but it's something I can discuss with my

dentist. Nice to know there may be some other options.

It will work on the white fillings, but not the metal ones I think...

Take care,
