Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone else has had a reaction to benzocaine used for dental work. Went to the dentist this morning and had to have them stop... in the middle of applying this to numb the area for the injection. Felt very strange and dizzy, etc. (I did give the dentist the list of meds to avoid, but he didn't see this on there so we didn't think it would be a problem). Guest guest
Maggie I can't use the benzocaine or Lanocaine or anything like that. I itch and break out in hives. I know I am allergic to the preservative in the injectable kind, but I'm not sure the cream and/or get have a preservative or not. I hope you are feeling better. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 20 May 2004 18:07:40 -0000 > To: > Subject: dental work > > I was wondering if anyone else has had a reaction to benzocaine used > for dental work. Guest guest
Interesting; thanks for the link. I don't know if this will work to repair a leaky filling, but it's something I can discuss with my dentist. Nice to know there may be some other options.
