Hi

Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I am going to take my new

wheelchair to school tomorrow. I had to back it up the ramp while standing

and juggling this way and that, but will drive it down the ramp tomorrow

morning. I just hope it isn't raining hard when time to put it back in to go

to another school. My son suggested that if they don't have the power doors

turned on, that I should sit outside until they do. I think it is a good

idea, but I have three IEPs as soon as school starts, so I will have to wait

a day or two to do it. I have faced many things, but this is really scary. I

don't want to get half way though a door and get stuck so no one can get in.

I know it will get better and I might as well make the plunge now.

I go for my total body CT scan on Friday. They will be using dye, so I can't

have anything by mouth for 5 hours before that - yuck!!!!

Hugs to all,

laurie

Laurie,

Good luck on both of these adventures this week. I had to let someone back my

chair out of a van today but my equilibrium is so bad, I don't dare to attempt

it.

I sincerely that hope the scan shows no blood clots. Sorry about the fast.

Laurie,

I will be thinking of you as you face both of these obstacles

tomorrow. I hope that the scan comes out okay.

Fingers crossed! It's a challenge to get used to a new medical

device. Good luck on your testing, my dad is supposed to have a full

body EBT at some point, mainly looking for blocked and narrowed blood

vessels.

Take care,
