Guest guest
In reading the mito docs answers it was stated: POTS and other severe autonomic system abnormalities are not common in mitochondrial disorders. Nevertheless, in Mitochondrial NeuroGastroIntestinal Encephalomyopathy (MNGIE) gastrointestinal dysmotility has been attributed to both autonomic dysfunction and smooth muscle abnormalities. I was surprised to read this, as I was under the impression that autonomic system abnormalties were often seen with mito. Do most people with these issues have MNGIE as their diagnosis? Guest guest
Since there is no mito databank for patients as to what there symptoms are, I don't think docs would know except in their own personal practice what the incidence is. whoewe2002 wrote: >In reading the mito docs answers it was stated: >POTS and other severe autonomic system abnormalities are not common >in mitochondrial disorders.
