Hi--My daughter has been wearing her new Hanger band for a few days

now, and I am never sure if it's on 100% correctly. It shifts a little

bit...is that normal? She is almost 10 months old. I am also wondering

when I should start seeing a difference. I would appreciate any

insight! Thank you!

Hi,

My almost 10 mth old son has been wearing a Hanger band for almost 2 wks now. The orthotist told me that the helmet will shift a bit because it is made so that it leaves room for the head to grow in the appropriate directions. If the helmet fit perfectly to the head then it wouldnt have room to do it's job. This is what I at least got from our conversation!!

I may just be seeing what I want to see, but I do notice a difference in my son's head already. My husband also see's it. His plagio was most severe on the left side and it honestly looks like it is already rounding out (when you look at him from his profile).

Hope this helps! Good luck...

Helmets can be a bit loose in the beginning - I remember think that there was no way Lulis band was going to help it was so loose! But within 2 weeks she grew into it and after 10 grew out if it!!! Just watch for shifting and redness. We had to make multiple trips to the ortho to get adjustments until it was right.
