Guest guest
I seem to be having technical difficulties posting. At least on my screen, much of what I send seems to get posted twice. I'm only clicking on send once. Anybody have any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks, Anita
Guest guest
Anita I have noticed the problem. Might you be " responding to all " instead of " reply " ? Other than that, I don't have a clue. laurie > > Organization: > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 13 May 2004 11:57:50 -0400 > To: > > Subject: double postings showing > > I seem to be having technical difficulties posting. Guest guest
Hi Laurie, Thanks for the input. On my Mac I only have the options of " send " , " preview " and " cancel " , so I don't think I'm pressing anything incorrectly. It's really weird. Some get posted twice and some once. Thanks! Guest guest
Anita It may just be a Yahoo thing, but I haven't noticed it with anyone but you. I also use a MAC. What program are you using for mail? laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 13 May 2004 18:47:33 -0000 > To: > Subject: Re: double postings showing > > Hi Laurie, Thanks for the input. Guest guest
Did you by any chance sign up to Mitoldies twice with the same e-mail addy? I'm not sure if that could be causing it, but thought it might be possible. Some of your posts yesterday I got 4 times. Anita wrote: >I seem to be having technical difficulties posting. Guest guest
Sorry, nope. Just signed up once. I'm afraid to post for fear of sending you folks a deluge! Guest guest
We can deal with it. That is what the delete key is for. Please don't be afraid to post. Anita wrote: >Sorry, nope. Guest guest
Hi Laurie, I'm on Mac OS9 and Internet Explorer 5.0. Navigating the site is quite a maze for me. Not sure if it's the same for folks on PC/Windows. Only a few posts (the 5-6 most recent?)show up in the list of posted messages on the first page that has the calendar on it. If I want to cycle back through the remaining previously unread messages (and not cycle back throught the actual thread) I've only been able to find out how to to read them in order going backwards. It seems I have to go to message #5 and keep hitting " previous " one at a time. I'm suspecting my problem might have been that cycling back trying to find the previous messages took me back through my posting windows a bunch of times. Even though I only actually clicked on " post " once, cycling back through that window might have caused the multiple postings to be sent I've never used Yahoo groups before and maybe this is just a Yahoo thing I need to get used to. Meanwhile, I apologise for the multiple posts! Anita > >> Anita > >> > >> I have noticed the problem. Might you be " responding to all " > > instead of > >> " reply " ? Guest guest
Hi Laurie, Glad to know that delete buttons can magically wipe it all away! Also happy to know that my posts aren't stuttering today. Thanks for letting me know. Best Wishes, Anita > >> > >>> I seem to be having technical difficulties posting. At least on > > my > >>> screen, much of what I send seems to get posted twice. Guest guest
Anita I seem to be getting only one of your posts today. Maybe your server was having problems. Don't be afraid to post - we all have delete keys. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 13 May 2004 23:06:10 -0000 > To: > Subject: Re: double postings showing > > Sorry, nope. Just signed up once. Guest guest
Hi Laurie, Yup, you two think like TWIN sisters! (though I assume you're not). Glad you are BOTH here. Guest guest
Anita I am also using OS9, but I use Outlook Express, so I am afraid I can't help you. I'll ask my sons next time I talk to them and see what they think. They both work in the computer field. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 13 May 2004 23:19:30 -0000 > To: > Subject: Re: double postings showing > > > > Hi Laurie, I'm on Mac OS9 and Internet Explorer 5.0. Guest guest
Anita See, we really are sisters. We often post almost exact answers. This way you can read two from this family as well. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 13 May 2004 16:08:09 -0700 > To: > Subject: Re: double postings showing > > We can deal with it. Guest guest
Nope, we aren't twins as there are 14 years between us. We also sound like each other on the phone too!
