Guest guest
My 11 year old son was thought to be slightly autistic, he does not like change, used to line dog bones up in patterns, and was and still is very, very shy around all but those he knows best. He would not go into the playlands if even one kid was in there. He is very smart but even now if he gets tired or upset will not talk and express himself. He also does not like being in crowds and gets overwhelmed. I used to have this problem also but have learned to live with it or avoid the crowds. As far as the clothing--he hates wearing more than a tshirt and shorts. Also shoes. When he gets home from school off come his jeans and shoes. Even in the middle of winter when the house is what I think is cold at 70 degrees and I am in a sweater he is in shorts and a tshirt. He is also always warm--I am also when inside like at work. But get very cold the minute I go outside if it is below 40 degrees. Guest guest
Janet Sure sounds like my son, except he likes the long pants (soft ones) and long sleeve shirts. He is also always warm. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Wed, 12 May 2004 22:11:58 -0500 > To: > > Subject: Re: hypersenitity and clothing, autism > > My 11 year old son was thought to be slightly autistic, he does not like > change, used to line dog bones up in patterns, and was and still is very, > very shy around all but those he knows best.
