But suddenly I saw a tattoo

parlor... Me... Me, who always said: " No way I am going to get a

tattoo!!!! " ... He-he... In I went, and after an hour I came back out

with a brand new tattoo on my shoulder... I made him make the

yin-yang symbol, only with a cute doggie paw on each si1e instead of

the " dot " there... It is about 2 " big, so it is not the tiniest

tattoo there is either... But I was really happy with myself, because

that symbol really sums up what I think about the relationship

between people and pets, especially dogs... :)

Oh no, I'm going to have my hands even fuller than I thought. I can't

believe you, you, you, did this. Oh my gosh Aase Marit. You bad little girl

you!

You guys really have got me now. I didn't realize YOU started this..........

Oh, what a job I'm gonna have at this conference. Everyone, please, we are

really going to have to watch these girls! I know I can count on you all.

He-he, ... Sure took me a while to believe it myself!!! But it

was really worth the shocked look on my boss' face and the

opportunity of saying " Just so you know it, this experience has made

me branded for life!!! " He-he... It sure took a while until he

understood that I was joking. He was really convinced that I was mad

as a hatter for having to leave the place we were going to because it

wasn't accessible at all... He-he... I will treasure that moment, he

really deserved it. Some of my collegues almost fell on the floor

laughing, he is really an idiot sometimes, so it was a precious

moment, I tell you... He-he...

You sure have to charge those batteries of yours for the conference,

because remember, you have to catch us first!!! [imagine Debbi and I

wheeling off at a racing speed on our way to the Tattoo Parlor]

he-he...

But I gotta tell you, that is one of the craziest things I have done

in my whole life, he-he... It was fun to be a bit naughty... I am

usually such a nice girl, right? :)

But joke aside, it is a bit scary getting a tattoo with EDS, since

everybody advices against it. The most funny part was that I never

really wanted one that much, I just did it totally on impulse. My

biggest concern was infection, since things heal slowly on me. So I

was very careful with that and cleaned it twice a day for a month and

a half. I also used triple antibiotic cream on it. I was a bit in

doubt about that though, because I know some people are told that

they have to use completely fat free creams only on it. The guy who

did mine, told me not to use any creams at all, just wash it with

mild soap twice a day. He also said to only have the bandaid on for

three hours, then take it off. Very confusing that people give such

different advices on this. I ended up using a bandaid for a long

time, because it leaked so much dye, I wouldn't want it to stain all

my clothes. Also I figured that most of the time common sense goes a

long way. The other possible EDS problem is that the tattoo dye can

leak out in the surrounding tissue. I might have a bit of that,

either that or the artist did not do the edges properly. It is

impossible for me to know for sure which alternative is the case, but

I must admit that I did not notice that at first. But then again it

is at the back of my shoulder, it wasn't easy to get a close look in

an ordinary mirror, it took a while before I took a close look with a

magnifying mirror... I must admit that it was a fun thing to do. And

to be honest, what is it about it being so painful? I really don't

think it was, it was a different sensation than I am used to though.

Of course you feel it, but... I guess that it maybe is not much for

us, compared what we live with on a daily basis...

Have a nice Sunday! Now I am going to take a nap... Peanut is already

napping on my lap, mom's cutie pie... :) It is snowing a lot here

today and we have been out running in the snow. You should have seen

her running with her new cool Little-Lily Dog Shoes on... Pink and

everything, they are so cute... She of course had a matching pink

hair clip and also her silvery quilted jacket with a white faux fur

collar. Looked like a little Yorkie Lady!!! She had her dinner when

we got in, and now she is of course bushed... Nothing like running in

the snow!!!
