Guest guest
Hi I thought I'd send a van update. I have an appointment to have the seatbelt chime fixed. Now I have a new problem. When I push the button to open the door, have the car kneel and the ramp deploy, the door opens half way and then shuts. I ended up leaving my scooter (haven't mastered the chair yet, but getting better) at school and walking back to the van again. I sure this isn't the beginning of endless problems. It isn't like I can just go down the road and get it fixed. laurie
Guest guest
Oh, Laurie. That must have been very hard on you. I'm so sorry. I have heard this before and I hope they can get it fixed fast for you and things settle down so you can travel in style and with pleasure. Alice I thought I'd send a van update. Guest guest
Laurie, I am also having problems with the door of my van right now. I am sorry to hear that you are too, especially since you just got it. When I push the button to open it, the door opens a tad, but I have to pull the handle, so it will finish opening. Then sometimes I have to push it at the end to make sure that there is enough space for the ramp to get through. It doesn't shut unless I help it, most times. Sometimes the door and ramp work fine though. I know I need to get it looked at, but time goes by so fast! I am worried about you walking to the school to get to your scooter. How far do you have to walk. It makes me nervous to think of it. Take care and be careful! Guest guest
a I guess you could say that by the time I get to my scooter, I've huffed and puffed about 1/2 block. I have been doing this since the beginning of January. At least it isn't slippery now. The hard part is when I have to go someplace other than school and have to walk at all times. I'm anxious to go shopping and I don't even like to shop. I hope you can get your van fixed soon. When it is suppose to be saving us from fatigue, it doesn't make sense that we have to do that extra work. I hope you can get some answers about the g-tube. The frustration of waiting for the doctors to get on board is not a fun place to be. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Tue, 11 May 2004 19:38:18 -0500 > To: > Subject: Re: van > > Laurie, > I am also having problems with the door of my van right now.
