I got this email from a friend of a friend. She is not taking any kind of

Thyroid meds now. I am not sure what to think of this, but I would like to give

it a try, not that I am going to give up my Armour though! She is on my yorkie

list and we had a discussion on feeding the dogs/pups " unpasteurized " goats

milk. She said that she drinks it too. It was very interesting. She also

feeds all her dogs " raw " foods.

Hi Kathy! I also have hypothyroidism and had been on synthriod for 15 years

earlier in my life, but it caused so many other problems as most meds do. I try

to not take anything and always look for an alternative. Now having said that, I

will tell you what I do! This is not a diagnosis for you nor a form of treatment

and I encourage you to do your own research as they sort of have a law against

someone without a license prescribing treatment:)))) So this is just telling you

what I do!. OK?????

First I paint a two inch square of iodine on my body somewhere and change its

position every time I do that. You can be called low thyroid if that doesn't

last for 24 hours and this is always a good testing tool to see how you are

doing. Hypothyroidism is a lack of iodine. We have lots of goider belts and the

Great Lakes is famous for that. I also take kelp and alfalfa. These are whole

foods and together these two have all the known vitamins and minerals in them.

(my dogs get it also mixed with celltech-ask Debbie) Kelp being seawead and

alfalfa has roots that go down over 4 feet so can soak up the minerals that our

topsoil is deficient in. Kelp also has lots of iodine-organic iodine, but you

can get too much! it is worked up to gradually as the body has to get used to

it. One can always test what they are doing by the 2 inch patch. I also take

cell tech super blue green algae and enzymes. seawead is the bottom of the food

chain-the least contaminated of anything and only plant life can take in

inorganic stuff and change it to organic thru photosynthesis so it is more

useable to your body. cell tech has LOTS of information on their site for you to

read. and you can read all that is on Donia's web site at

http://healthyfutures.net/organicsusa/ then call Donia at Ext.

00132# after you read it all:)) and tell her you got her number from me. Her web

site also has tons of info on it!!! IF you get the right amount of seaweed into

you your thyroid will straighten itself out to a normal level. The other thing

is enzymes. Enzymes break down any food that you get to something the body can

use. We are born with a certain amount of enzymes and as we age and! do not

replace them we lack the a bility to use what we get. Since we are becoming a

very 'cooked food' society-all the enzymes are dead! They are killed at temps

over 110 degrees for the most part. We need to eat more raw food as all raw food

has enzymes, some more than others and to get more you have to eat fermented

food or take them, Anyway, I could go on for hours on this subject and I really

don't know if you are that interested. So go to the web sites I mentioned--no

cost to read them!:)) and see what you think and if you are still interested I

can help you more and so can donia!

Oh, another thing is the 'way' one eats raw food--you just can't eat it:(( we

have no ability to break down all the cell walls to obtain the goodies so that

also another story. you have to tell me just what you want to know because I can

talk for days on this!!:))))
