Guest guest
Happy Labor Day everyone! Have had a really busy weekend. The weather has been wonderful (cooler and lower humidity) and we have been doing a lot of things we have been putting off (weeding flower beds and really cleaning up the yard). I mentioned to Kevan that it looks like people live here now! LOL! Anyway, we also have a busy day planned for today as well. On the menu is marinated sirloin on the grill, sauteed mushrooms and onions, salad, and grilled french bread. I hope everyone enjoys their day! > Citrus Punch > > > Good Morning Everyone!!! > > What is on your menu today? We are not sure as we may spend the afternoon with family so not posiotive yet. Guest guest
Morning Zephyr! Not sure what we will be doing...I think just taking it easy! I pulled a muscle in my back yesterday and am in quite a lot of pain, so I plan on just relaxing! Not even sure about the food, because I don't feel like making anything. Probably just something easy....maybe send Robin for Subway or something. Have a great day!! Maureen
Guest guest
Hi Happy Labor Day My menu today, I am going to fix a chicken stirfry. With lots of fresh vegs. My plans for the day, going to the park as soon as I finish my coffee and then come home and work around the house. Sat I cleaned out my back shed, and let the yard go so I better mow. But if I don't get it done it is not a world shaking event. No one will jump in and do it for me. I kind of did different things over the weekend and so today I need to do the weekly things. I feel real good that my back shed is actually in sometype of shape. I have lived here 3 years and things where just put where ever they would fit. So have been trying to go thru and find things. Now answer me this what does one small yard need with 4 count them 4 bags of weed killer!!! I have a habit of forgetting I have something and buying more then I end up with 3 or 4 of the same thing. I had bought 2 or 3 of them and the guy who I bought the house from left some also. Guess I don't need to buy anymore. I am taking a few days off later this month and my plan is to work in my other shed. I'm sure that there is a lot of stuff there also from when I moved in. The back one I want to put all the yard stuff in. And the front one storage of everything else. What everyone else would put in their garage, except for the car. I know that there are some boxes in there from when I moved. Now I am not saying that I did not unpack but there was stuff that was boxes and never really found a home. I had just moved in and my aunt brought me a U-Haul truck of stuff. Another aunt had died so I got a U-Haul of stuff. It was boxed and so have been going thru it bit by bit. My aunt collected towels, I alone got 6 boxes. New unused towels. Other family members got just as many. The bad thing was it was also going thru the house that had been in the family for over 70 years. So it had stuff from my grandparents, from when they moved into the house. They even found a trunk that no one knew and when they opened it they found it was the trunk that grandma had when she came from Scotland. And old pictures, of her parents. They were on copper plates. Her father had died when she was a child, and so it is hard to know the age. But I would guess about 100 years old. Her youngest child was at least 75 and grandma was an adult when she came over to the U.S. and she worked for a while so lets say she was 25 when she had her youngest that means they had to be at least 100. Well I know that was more than you ever cared to know but now you do. Have a wonderful day, off to the park we (my little dog and me) go. Guest guest
Maureen, You should be sure to alternate hot and cold on that muscle and 800 mg of ibuprofun should do the trick. I hope you feel better soon. Zephyr Re: What is on the menu Monday? Morning Zephyr! Not sure what we will be doing...I think just taking it easy!
