Guest guest
WELL no improvement since the " Incident " of the dislocation on my shoulder even though I have stayed in the immobiliser and looked after the shoulder as best I could. I guess I am going to have to get it checked out as, there has been NO improvement at all (and in fact the pain has gotten worse I think since I was relocated and immobilised (I think the dislocation in that direction had pressure on the nerves etc and was blocking things as my arm felt ODD as well before it was relocated)) and it has been nearly a week. I just have to decide now whether I will go and see my GP early this week to look at tests or if I will put it off until Thursday when I see my Osteopath again and see what he recommends as he is the one who saw when my shoulder was out and relocated it for me. I am guessing that I may need to get the structures checked to make sure there are no GROSS tears or damage, and then I am guessing I will have to stay in the immobiliser until it settles down. I n which case I REALLY need to find an immobiliser that works (I can't really lift my arm out from my body much so the pillow one may not work??). I do NOT trust any of the Shoulder Ortho's here really as they are ALL scared of my RSD and will NOT help me (it took me 6 years to find the last guy to do the thermal shrinkage and I had to fly to Sydney (I had seen MANY surgeons here in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne). Guest guest
Did you try to wrap some wide ace bandages around your arm and chest, to hold it down against your body? You may call them something else there. They are the stretchy bandages that are used for sprains. This Shoulder (OUCH!!!)
