Hi friends

I am being picked up in about an hour to go get my new van. They have to do

some work on it after they have my wheelchair, so I will spend the rest of

the day at the adaptation facility. I am so excited and can't wait.

I picked up the van and drove it directly to the dealership. The seatbelt

chime and light would go on and off while driving. It is also running rough.

They gave me a loaner while they look at it. I really hope I can get it back

tomorrow afternoon. I still haven't mastered backing up the ramp. I plan to

practice in garage, as I want to master it before driving off the edge of

the ramp.

Thanks for being excited for me. I was excited too, for a bit.

Please see other post. I take I-94, so you know I didn't hotrod with all the

construction. It was like stop and wait and move a bit.

Laurie,

What wonderful news! You have been waiting a long time for this new van.

Take some pictures so we can see it. Enjoy it!

Laurie,

I am sorry you are still having problems with your van. I had to get a

rental when my van first came in too. It is very frustrating, but once

you get your van for good, it is so rewarding. I can't wait for the day

you finally get it and I know you can't either.

Do you have a rear or side entry ramp? Is it a ramp or lift? I have a

side entry ramp. I was wondering why you have to back up the ramp. I go

in forward. I did have to turn quite a bit to get out forward and am

starting to go down backwards, as I also keep my manual chair in the van,

so I can get tangled up it that. I don't go down backwards very often.

A little to nerve wracking!

I am hoping you get your van soon. Thinking of you,

I have a side entry ramped mini-van. I think they want me to go in backwards

to get the lock down to work properly, but I am going to try turning my

chair around inside. It is a very large chair, but it turns easily. I just

have to play around with it when I get the van back.
