Guest guest Posted April 21, 2004 Report Share Posted April 21, 2004 I finally have my results back from the endocrinologist. Is this mito related or is the rest of me falling apart too? My T3's are very low. My progesterone is almost nonexistent. My adrenal levels are off too (but not too significant). So the doc wants me to take new meds - 1. Compounded thyroid meds - not sure what all will be in the compound I still have to find a local pharmacy who can compound it. 2. Progesterone cream (the doc doesn't want the synthetic one as he is afraid it will affect the liver) but he wants me to order it from this natural place, American Pharmaceuticals. Has anyone heard of this? How safe is the natural one versus the synthetic one? Are these meds safe? BTW .... the Rheumatologist had good news for me, I have nothing wrong with me in that specialty field.... YEAH! So now that I have done my Rheum. and Endo work up .... I now go back to the first issues.... mito. Fresh biopsy or not? I am so confused and frustrated. Angry and scared. Most of all very grateful to have all of you who thoroughly understand all of this more than anyone else can. one more ? and then i am done... Does Dr. Whiteman at Mayo see adults? If not, where is there a good doc who sees adults? I will travel anywhere to have a really good doc. Thank you all so much!!!!! I pray often for you and your families as we all fight this thing.
