Guest guest
Hi, , I have an endocrinologist, a neurologist and a GI doc in NYC. They are all wonderful. The lady neuro had a close friend with mito from nursing school, who died as a young mother. She is very familiar with mito and has also worked closely with the lead pathologist from Columbia-Presbyterian. She is going to ask him to reread my biopsy, since this disease is obviously progressing. Or, she may decide on another biopsy. This woman is a truly marvelous human being, very communicative and up on mito. She really cares about her patients. So many neuros came across as somewhat " cold " individuals. I would also recommend Michio Hirano, MD, from Col-Pres. I saw him through the MDA Clinic, but he also now has a private practice at Columbia at their famous Neurological Institute. He is very well-known as a mito researcher, having worked with Dr. DiMauro there for years. For ongoing care, I still vastly recommend my neuro. Kindly email me privately, and I'll give you all the info. (I will be away tomorrow and most of Thursday.) BTW, my mind draws a blank--what is CFIDS? Good luck with your many problems, . I am praying for a real breakthrough for you! Take care. Sincerely,
