Guest guest
Afternoon Group, I just joined and thought I should introduce myself to all. My name is (21) married to jeremy (20) and SAHM to Anya (2) and Schyular (8 months), and expecting our third in May. I have tried breastfeeding with my daughter for about 6 weeks, unfortunatly I only did my son for about 72 hours. I have stopped both times due to the extreme pain I have recieved adn the sores. I really would like to breastfeed or at least pump and feed the new baby with a bottle. I just dont deal with pain very well. There are lacation counsolors here on base however they have yet to be helpfult o me. I am looking for as much info adn support on either method if possible. thanks ~@~ G(12/27/79)~@~d2 Jermie(5/25/00)~@~Mom2 Anya(9/8/98)~@~Mom2 Schyular(5/26/00)~@~Expecting #3(5/25)~@~Mom2 Gunnie(7/4/00)~@~Stationd 29Palms(4/16/00)~@~http://www.geocities.com/happy2bewithgons/index.html " >The Gons' Family ~@~
Guest guest
Welcome ! First off, congrats on you upcoming blessing and on you desision to breast feed! I also had problems with my first 2 and did not BF them, however I was determined this time to do it and do it right!! Fortunately I found this group and they recomended some very helpful books. Some of then are, Womenly Art of Breastfeeding Nursing Mothers Companion Getting Breastfeeding right for you--I found this to be the most helpful so far because it has a lot of pictures ) The second thing that I would recomend is to find a local Le Leche League and start going to meetings right away!! Even thou you are just expecting, they can offer LOTS of advice and you will get to know the leader(s) and other members, that way if you have problems early on you won't feel funny calling on them for help. Which leads me to my third point, DO NOT (I just can't emphasis that enough) be afraid to ask for help!! If there is pain then something is wrong, you will have the best luck with BF if you ask help for anything no matter how minor it may seem. Best of luck to you Mom to:Blake 1-19-96, Katelyn 10-16-99 and Chase 10-21-00http://communities.msn.com/DaveandsFamilyPhotos Re: Welcome to breastfeeding Afternoon Group, I just joined and thought I should introduce myself to all.
