Hi all,

I have posted before regarding my friends health. She is having problems

again this time with not only headaches quite frequent but now she is

experiencing numbness in both arms and hands and now in her feet. She is

very weak and get dizzy quite a bit. She was walking in my yard and her

legs just gave way and she fell. She said she did not stumble on anything

that all of the sudden she just had no strength in her legs. She has seen

doctor after doctor all of which still has not given her a diagnosis. She

is taking Imitrex for the headaches and some other medicine for the

dizziness. She takes sublingual B12 1000mcg every day along with a

multi-vitamin and calcium daily. If anyone out there has experienced any

of these symptoms would you be so kind and share your knowledge. At this

point, I think most of her help will come from the information provided by

all of you who have had the RNY instead of doctors. Thanks In Advance to

all who responds.

For whatever it is worth, I have two folks in my circle of acquaintenance,

one by email the other in person and a patient of my surgeon, who had

something they describe similarly. The surgeon and his staff here are

mystyfied and have generally tagged it neuropathy. The lady who is known to

me personally is doing much better now and is about 18months post, the other

lady is in a wheelchair. Both of them tell me that they had rapid weight

loss then onset of these symptoms within 30-60 days of surgery and the one

out on the west coast has been to several medical professionals and has

mentioned that some university is interested in her case.

I wish I could be of more assitance.
