Dear ,

Thanks SO much for that great link about dogs and our health. I have

been greatly helped through some tough times because of our dogs. One,

in particular, was our " angel " dog, that once-in-a-lifetime dog.

He was a majestic black Afghan hound who very much needed a good home

when he was 2. We thought we were doing him a favor, but it ended up

being the other way around.

A ferocious blizzard demolished our business in 1993 and we ended up

having to give the bank our house (it had been the collateral), and it

was the ministrations of Bear that got our minds off our troubles at

night. He would lean against you and look at you with beautiful eyes,

meanwhile

" humming " and " purring " just like a cat.

He never did a thing wrong.

I truly believe it saved me from depression, etc.

We lost him in Feb., 2002--a terrible day.

I truly believe that he was sent to us because we would need him so.....

(I hope I will see him again one day...)

I think that the dog is one of God's

choicest gives to us humans.

Now, science is starting to agree.

Thanks.

,

What a beautiful story about your dog. I know I have loved many of them.

Stella has to be my favorite of all but you know - she has lots of fans.

Thanks for sharing.

- thank you so much for the link.

,

Thanks for sharing your story! Dogs, as well as all other animals and

birds, really can be a blessing. I can't imagine not having a house full of

dogs. Actually, I've always wanted a pot-bellied pig, but I'm afraid the

furkids wouldn't understand.

BTW, dog is God spelled backwards : )
