An Idea about how we could get to know each other here

I just had an idea.

Considering that......

1) It seems hard for new people to get to know us here. And when new

member comes, what we have previously posted about ourselves must be

repeated. For example, Adrienne just kindly typed a long post to Amy.

It was nice for me to read also, because I got to know here a little

better too, and there was some good information there for me also.

Getting to know people here is hard for me, also cause my memory for

names is one of my worst problems.

2) The mito files area is available to keep information

IDEA...

Would it work if we each (those that wanted to) composed a summary

about ourselves, and they were saved in the mito files? That way when

a person speaks, and there are new people who don't know that person,

they could look up the " summary " or " bio " or " history " of that person

in the mito files. These " bios " would be voluntary, labeled with online

names, and changes could be made to them only by the person. We would

include any information relevant to ourselves that might help others,

or that we might need help with. They could be long or short. Or a

person could chose not to do it.

What do you think?

It's an excellent idea and one that we have considered before. I set up a

database for that information many months ago but I just noticed that no one has

made an entry.

Here is the link to the database.
