Lupron and malpractice and doctors

I just want to say that I am currently on Lupron and it is a lifesaver for

me. I bled so heavily last Tuesday that I was in the ER for over 6 hours

before it started to even slow down and got the shot two days later. For

me, it has helped tremendously and I think that it differs from woman to

woman, were not all the same. I am a bit amazed that so many are so against

it. For my anemia, and yes, I have been so severe that my primary doctor was

talking blood transfusions to get it up if nothing else worked, so it also

is enabling my body to store and keep what it is producing right now.

Shouldn't it be on a woman to woman case not all the hype about it being so

bad?

As for the malpractice and stupid doctors, you honestly find that

everywhere. I am facing right now the fact I have to possibly put off my

hysterectomy surgery because somewhere between the ER and the lab my lab cup

with a biopsy tissue in it was lost. The doc wants to go ahead with the LEEP

procedure to take the fibroid off and I sad NO! I asked if we can do another

biopsy of my cervix to rule out any cancers and then if all is clear go

ahead with plans of a vaginal hysterectomy. So, we got stupidity and screw

ups everywhere.

The malpractice suites in the US alone are horrible and a lot of times for

no other reason than the patient is being cruel and feels cheated for some

reason or another so sue's the pants off the doctor. They don't look at the

whole picture, don't weight what was actually involved or why whatever

happened happened as it did. There should be a cap on how much we can sue

for, what it is were sueing over and why. Many good honest hard working

doctors are being forced out of business or practice simply because they

can't afford the premiums. Is this fair? If the patient has a honest reason

to sue for what they are then by all means they deserve what they are

asking. If not, then why make the doctor pay?

Like me, I don't want to go through procedure after procedure after

procedure for my fibroids. My tubes are tied, I don't want anymore children

and a hysterectomy is the way for me to go. I have tried everything from

birthcontrol to holistic and herbs. I want my quality of life to be better

than what it is now and we need to face this. Make hard decisions. Sometimes

our doctors are going to tell us things we don't want to hear but maybe we

need to listen to what he is saying. I know a lot of the procedures done for

fibroids are a temporary solution to a permanent problem. Sad but true.

God bless...
