Guest guest
Hi, Catriona: While you're getting your anemia checked, don't forget to ALSO be checked for low thyroid (hypothyroidism). The type of cold sensitivity you're reporting is also characteristic of HYPOthyroid. One of my best friends had this as one of her only hypo symptoms. And it's possible you might have BOTH iron deficiency anemia and hypothyroidism. Make sure you get the proper diagnostic tests for both. ******************************************** And speaking of chills......that story about the OTHER Catriona Bass in the UK hospital sent chills up MY spine!!!!! Blimey!! Oh --but I must admit your allusion to " Kidnapped " and the ladder went right over my head--can you refresh my recollection of a book I read..oh...about 35 years ago?!!!!! All I can say, lassie, is " Yo-ho-ho and SHIVER me timbers, mate! " (speaking of shivers!!!!) Or am I hopelessly confused and getting that mixed up with the pirates in RLS' " Treasure Island? " Aaarh! Please straighten me out about RLS and the ladder connection in your email, me friend!! Roma, toastin' to ye with a cup o' very hot java In a message dated 1/13/2004 8:04:12 AM Eastern Standard Time, catrionabass@... writes: > Have any of you ladies wirh anemia/iron issues ever had bouts > of inexplicable cold shivering that feels like descriptions of > mountain exposure?
