Thanks you all that replied!

Alice- that was so sweet all that you said, you really brightened my day and

I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am for you because I dont know

where I would be without you right now- I dont think I would know what I know

and who I know concerning mito if I hadnt met you online back when. You

definitely are an angel. Thank you so much.

a- Glad the protnix has helped you, I started it yesterday and so far

its helped a bit more than the nexium- hoping it will start helping even more.

I'll keep you posted. I'm gonna also do a separate post on Dream street in a

min. Hope youre doing well.

-I've never heard of carafate but did a search and looks like its

mainly for ulcers? I've been on all the regular meds out there it seems for

reflux

(zantac, prilosec, prevacid, aciphex, nexium lots of OTC meds, etc etc and now

protonix- Dr is telling me I should try and alternate 2 different ones,

protonix with nexium or aciphex.) I'm actually wondering if I have bile coming

up

into my stomach though because of what it looked like (he showed me the pics of

the undigested foods and the color was yellowish like how i'd think bile

looks). Anyways, I think he thinks these pancreatic enzymes might help- so I'll

see and If they don't I'll mention what you said, ty. glad its helped you.

Maggie-Sounds like your dr is iffy bout that quinine, who knows why when both

the other meds can be bad for you too, watch out with the ultram- it can be

very harsh on the stomach- i couldnt tolerate it- but i know others that it has

helped alot, just be sure not to take on an empty stomach, hope you find

something to help with the pain. I know how bad it can be feeling you have

nothing

to help.

Malisa- So you take the pancrelipase for the chronic pancreatitis? When you

started it did you notice it helping you with anything? My dr said that it

might just help more with my digestion and abdominal pain and fullness/bloating,

who knows, he noted that that side of my abdomen was swollen (left) and it

hurts more there but thats probably from constipation. I'm just really iffy to

add

another med. I think I should have my pancreatic enzymes checked before I

take this med. And he said to see him in 3 months unless my symptoms worsen more

or if I have drastic weight loss. With the feeding tube- he didnt specifically

say thats what he was thinking about but he said that if these meds he put me

on now dont work that we might have to go to more drastic measures- I'm

assuming that means feeding tubes and stuff like that? We shall see. I'll talk

with

you later I'm sure and we will talk more bout this and other stuff.

Everyone take care, I been up all night, gonna try for alittle bit of sleep

now.

take care,

Adrienne

HI Adrienne,

I haven't really noticed that it's helped anything, but my GI doctor thinks

that by giving the pancreas the enzymes that maybe it won't work as hard to

produce them and I will get a break from the inflammation. I haven't noticed

that it helps one way or the other, but the idea behind it makes sense, so I

keep

taking them.

I hope it helps you!

Malisa
