Guest guest
Reflux postings have made me want to mention something that ended up helping me a great deal. I had problems with any of the regular reflux meds doing " their job " . The last time I had an EGD, the GI doc said in addition to the stomach acid, I had tons and tons of bile coming up where it didn't belong. He then put me on carafate 4 times a day, in addtion to the aciphex I had already been taking. It has made ALL the difference in the world. I just thought I would add my personal experience. Just today, I had a new member of my implant list complaining because she hoped they wouldn't activate her new implant with a body worn processor. A body worn processor looks similar to a small tape player and is connected with wires which hang down from the earpeice. It's not heavy, or uncomfortable. It is obvious and not as attractive as the behind the ear processor. > >Then I come here and read all you are doing to try to be comfortable and have some quality of life and wish I could tell the other young woman to count her blessings. You vented yesterday and it was long over due. With all you deal with, you have an amazing strength and you will be blessed because of that. Thank you for being who you are. > >I can answer you about the Protonix. I've tried just about everything for the reflux and that includes Protonix. It did not work for me. The only thing that has had helped me is Prevacid. It is not on my insurance formilary so I have to order it from Canada to get it at a better price but I can't be without it. > >I can't help you with your other questions but I wish I could. > >Alice > >
