Hi Tina;

I've read that prednisone can cause sleep problems:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/medmaster/a601102.html

but I havn't come across anything about sleep disturbance associated

with prednisone tapering. I hope that someone else in the group might

have personal experiences to share about this.

Best regards,

Hi,

Robbie has just been ( 1 week now) put on Prednisone (40 mg)due to

severe colitis flareup and doesn't sleep much anymore.Infact, he is

up very late and still the first to wake up...This is a big change

from before when he was the first to fall asleep and the last to wake

up.

You'll hear from those who have had to take Prednisone, that one of

the biggest side effects is lousy sleep. But it will get better,

hopefully as Prednisone is tapered, and resolve when he is off prednisone.
