hey guys,

got a question about this med....its called ultrase MT12 (pancrelipase). Its

pancreatic enzymes- lipase, amylase and protease. My GI dr has given me

samples of it. He feels it might help me with my dysmotility- especially with my

stomach and small bowel. He says its all we got left to try basically since

reglan, zelnorm and erythromyacin dont work or have side effects for me. I

forgot

to ask him about domperidone unfortunately. He said he wants to try this med

before he does anything more drastic (like a feeding tube, etc). I'm also

probably going back to a strickly liquid diet. He also switched my nexium to

protonix, anyone take that? Havent noticed a difference yet but my reflux has

worsened since they dialated my esophogus last week. Luckily I'm back on zofran

ODT

instead of the pill form so my nausea and vomitng isnt as bad as it had been.

The probs I'm having with now really are the swallowing probs and reflux

getting worse along with the constipation and severe bloating and pain- this is

getting to be so bad its interfering with my sleep alot. I just hope these new

meds might help. Of course normal laxitives dont help. I am also worried to go

on

these pancreatic enzymes because I have had acute pancreatitis several times

and Im worried that it might cause it again. Just was wondering if anyone

takes these or anything similar and if its helped them? thanks for any info!

take care,

Adrienne
