My doctor said that he doesn't place many restrictions on myo

patients. He said the only limitation he insists on is not driving

for two weeks after the surgery. Other than that, he said to do

anything else as long as it doesn't hurt. He even said I could pick

up my 20-pound baby, which surprised me because some doctors tell

women not to pick up anything heavier than 10 pounds. I waited a few

days before picking up Holly, but it was fine as long as I didn't

hold her too long.

I found that there wasn't much I couldn't do after the myo, although

I did need to pace myself more, as I got tired easily. While it's

important not to push yourself too much during the recovery period, I

think the opposite is true, too--don't be afraid to do a few things.

Moderate activity will help get your body going again and will help

you recover faster. Just listen to your body.
