Guest guest
Regarding the lactose intolerance: I never experienced it before until I went on a dairy-egg-wheat-soy elimination diet (I have two food allergic children who I breastfed). Then, after nearly 4 years of no dairy, I started reintroducing it into my diet - slowly. Of course, I had horrible reactions (gas, bloating, severe diarrhea), and later found out that when you stop eating dairy, you stop producing lactase, and become lactose intolerant. In my case it has improved - with the slow reintroduction and a two- fold increase in thyroid! I have no problem with cheeses, and only slight intolerance when I drink milk. Regarding your recent surgery: I hope you can find some relief from colitis (and a suitable diet) that will allow your GI tract to heal. Best of luck! Guest guest
My lactose intolerance is from my gastric by-pass surgery... it's a shame since my surgery " broke " and I have gained quite a bit of weight. Nasty, cruel, joke. Tigger Re: Whining again...(possibly TMI) bathroom....
