Guest guest
Hi Anne. I'm in Niagara Falls,Ont.--yep, Canada! There's a top-notch doc in Ottawa. His name is Dr. Hyde. I have an online buddy seeing him now and if U'd like me to give her U'r addy, she will contact U. She has emailed with others on this list before who wanted info on Dr Hyde. Also, are U aware there's a Canadian list? This friend I'm speaking of and I are both on it. It deals with Canadian issues, which, like U said, is alot diff than American. Let me know.....Sue P.S. My online buddy lives in Montreal! Wow, eh? LOL
Guest guest
Hi Anne, there are other good CFS doctors here in Ottawa: Dr. Armstrong, environmental doctor. She only sees patients with chronic illness. Very knowledgeable, very good. 613-721-9800 Dr. Ragan, family doctor. He is in contact with Dr. Cheney, Dr. Teitelbaum, Hemex,... 613-523-4874 Dr. Francisco -Mitoma, immunologist/virologist. He helped me a lot with my disability claim. 613-236-6393 They are all competent, all very nice and full of compassion. You can also check this site; this is an organization in Ottawa that is setting up the first health center in Canada for CFS and FM. http://www.ncf.ca/compassioninaction/ Good luck! Jaconello, in Toronto. 416-463-2911 Another Dr. in the area is Tick, who is involved with an Immunocal Patient Trial/study in the Toronto area. She is apparently familiar with much of the latest treatments and research. ONe of these days I'm going to see if I can book an appt. I think she has a long waiting list. Guest guest
Hey ! I am from just a little south of you. Email me I would love to talk to you and help you out~ proudmom@... Anyone in Canada? I wrote on this site 5 weeks ago when my pediatrician indicated that he believed my four year old son Cayden has . I have been reading since, although I was starting to think that maybe we were wrong as each week was passing without a " episode " , even though I have history dating back for almost a year now. I was hopeful, but then today, he has started to fever, though only slightly so far, and has been complaining of a headache, as per ususal. I gave him his first ever dose of prednisone tonight, and I will see his pediatrician tomorrow, but I want to be prepared. Can anyone give me a brief list of PFS's that I should ask to have testing on. Also, is anyone else on this site from Canada, and if so, do we have any testing groups, specialists etc. that you know of? I am from the Edmonton area and am curious if there are rheumatologists and CIH, etc. here. Please advise. Thanks to all of you for the valuable information over the past several weeks. It has been a tremendous resource and somewhat of a support group. Greatly appreciated. Mom to Cayden 4 () and Hailee (2)
