Guest guest
I had something happen this morning that made me wonder if there isn't some permanent brain damage from long term low thyroid. I was sitting at a LONG light as it is a construction light on a one lane bridge. I go through this light every day as it is between my house & shop, and sometimes I put the car (standard) in neutral so I can let my foot off the clutch. Well I just left my right foot off the brake and left it in gear as it was flat & the car not rolling. When the light changed, the two cars in front of me started to go, and I just sat there, trying to push the clutch in with my RIGHT foot. Now I have driven this car for about 6 years... and have driven a standard for over 30 years... but I forgot for that few seconds what foot I used on the clutch. It was scary. Funny, but scary. If I can forget something I do every day like that, what else might I forget that is important? Artistic Grooming Hurricane, West Virginia -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
, I have had my car for 10 years and sometimes I can't remember how to turn on the windshield wipers . This has just started happening, so I too, hope it will go away soon. I know this car like the back of my hand and sometimes it's like I've never driven it before. Crazy. Sex? ..............sputter, sputter. chortle, chortle. LOL LOL. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I've increased my testosterone and have it on the brain......hehehehhe Seriously, my memory has been the pits since my 40's---or let's say, my absent-mindedness has ballooned!! And since I've been having issues with my low progesterone/peri-meno, it's even worse! So I REALLY understand. I don't know if my memory loss is undertreated thyroid......or my fillings.......or genetic........or what. Janie

Guest guest
, I think I was at my worst a couple of years ago and I regularly did things like that. Could not remember which were the indicators and which were the wipers. I really scared myself when I couldn't remember my own address - I have lived here for 10 years. I also got to the stage where I couldn't remember the drive home, I would sort of " come to " as I pulled into the driveway. I often wondered how I would have reacted if there had been an emergency. In fact I had two car wrecks and a motorcycle wreck when I was spaced out driving like that! I AM much better than that now which is why this is odd now. Though I have decided that Time Caps Labs generic is about HALF the strength of Armour or close to it. Why? Cause I am taking all Armour now, in the last 4 day s and am going hyper suddenly so I have cut drastically, Now to wait it out and get feeling more normal again. I have even had problems scissoring the last 2 days as my hands are so shaky. Now I had also upped my DHEA but only back where it used to be and I never had this happen before when I was taking the same amount. Time will tell. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Guest guest
When I first had thyroid problems - didn't know it was thyroid at that time - I was always having that happen. Biggest thing that I was afraid about was that I would drive through a light - robotically, I guess - and couldn't remember if I had seen if it was green. Figured it had to be. Other things too - I'd get home, but wouldn't remember how I got there. I was really frightened. Kept going to my doctor at the time. all they did was run bloodwork after bloodwork. Doubt they even checked the thyroid!! finally, went to another doctor and he said I had epstein barr, and Chronic fatigue. I leaned about thyroid on my own, and he refused to even test my thyroid. He said I was a hypochondriac. Left that doctor. I've been searching for a decent doctor ever since. and that was about 12 years ago. Still not treated properly for my thyroid. and have only been treated for about 5 years. cris Permanent brain damage I had something happen this morning that made me wonder if there isn't some permanent brain damage from long term low thyroid.
