Guest guest
Betty, I am no expert on MAD COW. But I do know that the MAD COW prions are concentrated in the nervous tissue of cows (brain, spinal cord, etc). That's why eating a steak is less dangerous. Undertreated hypothyroid is much more likely to cause 'mad human disease' due to the effects of lack of thryoid hormone on the brain -a frequent and often severe problem that may cause permanent brain damage [ i know becuase i have had to relearn to write , paint , read and do many other tasks again this year and i still have ongiing remedial work to get many other skills back by relearning them! ] than the miniscule risk of catching 'mad cow disease' from bovine glandular products. alison

Guest guest
and there was another mad cow in Canada - they announced this week. I checked out the nutri-med web site, and they are out of both porcine and bovine. Wonder what is going on. Perhaps they just are saying they are out, and not selling it right now for some reason. Guest guest
>>they are out of both porcine and bovine<< Another one bites the dust! Sounds to me like another source for natural thyroid is just going the way of the dinosaur. SOMETHING is happening here that all these sources are disappearing. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
I sense a conspiracy theory here... or... maybe I've spent too much time reading courtroom drama books. Guest guest
Yeah, something is going on there. Maybe they have been having trouble selling it. I decided not to get that stuff anyway. If I go to a doctor, I will tell him that is what I have been taking. Nutrimeds instead of Armour. Ha Ha Cris wrote:and there was another mad cow in Canada - they announced this week.
