Guest guest
Mike, do not despair!!!!!!! I had to go to several "independent " doctors before I was approved for disability. I think the funniest one was the "Neuro" test, where they had me button and unbutton a jacket on a doll and unscrew a lid on a jar. Great Neurological exam. huh. Just have good documentation as to how your dai;y function has changed, how limited you are physically (at home and at work). I go to a rehab counselor, who helps me and goes with me to any appointmernts (Lawyer, doctor), that I may need her support. Best of luck to you. Guest guest
Well, I guess it had to happen sometime. My private disability insurer is having me see one of their " independent " (yeah, sure...) doctors. Since the doc is being paid to find any way to deny me benefits, I think I'm screwed no matter what I say or do. Anyone successfully go through one of these inquisitions. Any strategies? Any advice? I think I'm doomed.... Thanks, Mike
Guest guest
Hi Mike, I have just join the group. I've been on the net all day looking for help with my problem (CPEO & Ragged Red Fibers). I'm 58 and wearing out. I hope to get on SS disability myself. I don't think I can hold a regular job anymore. I am just hoping I qualify when I go to apply. Best of luck to you.
