Guest guest
Hi Jen: It's perfectly fine to get your questions answered to your satisfaction, regarding your doctor's background. Trust me, when it comes to whether or not he will get paid, you will be " certified/verified " for insurance or other payment methods, before the surgery gets done. And, if you don't ask the questions now, it will weigh heavily on your mind leading up to your surgery, and you just don't need this kind of distraction. The next time you speak to him, how about this approach: " Dr. _____, I really appreciated the opportunity to speak with you during the consultation. I came away feeling very confident about your extensive knowledge of UFE's. There is one thing that I would appreciate your clearing up for me. I am part of a uterine fibroid support group and it was suggested that we check on the board certification of IRs performing our surgeries. Your name, along with a group of other IRs, was checked for certification. For some odd reason, your name was not listed as being board certified. Was this incorrect? " Good luck.
