Guest guest
I am all for getting this out into the open and letting parents know. I feel so bad that I was not informed until Noah was 10 months. And that was only because I did the research. Not one of his doctors took me seriously. I find myself constantly saying " if only I had known " . ________________________________________________________________________________\ __________ Check out the New - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster. Guest guest
Hi all - I thought that everyone should know that the APP does have a revised SIDS policy paper that clearly states the Back to Sleep campaign puts the children at risk of developing positional plagio. It gives recommendations about roatating sleep positions, restricted use of swings, etc. Now I just want to know why our ped's don't tell us about this? Here is the link to the paper. Looks like it was published this time last year (2005). http://www.healthychildcare.org/Revised%20SIDS.pdf Not that this should prevent you from signing the petition. But it is nice to know that the AAP recognizes the problem at least. Kerily (and Keira, DOC banded on 9/13/06)

Guest guest
I second the " thanks " . the pediatricians are our main resource for this kind of information and most of us on this board feel we weren't well served in this area. luckily we got a referral to a specialist at 4 mo, but repo tips at sydney's 2 mo appt (when we asked about her flat spot) could have made a huge difference. -christine > > > > http://www.petitiononline.com/0799/petition.html > > > > Hey Parents - I don't think this has been posted recently so I > wanted to let all the new people out there. > > This is a petition to the American Academy of Pediatrics about > Plagiocephaly. > > Please sign it if you have time! > > THANKS!!!! > > > > Jen and Luli (17mo) > > Left Tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA > > tallulah jayne > > http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jens5th/ > > > ______________________________________________________________________ > __ > > AOL now offers free email to everyone.
