Guest guest Posted January 13, 2003 Report Share Posted January 13, 2003 *****My insurance only covers 3 of the meds that are commonly given for PM and none of the new ones like Enbrel and certainly not IVIG.***** Remember that these drugs are not going to be listed in your formulary of drugs covered by your insurance company. They are billed to the insurance company differently, I believe they call it " outpatient " injectables for Enbrel and if you're not put in the hospital for IVIg then it's also billed the same way. I didn't think my insurance company would pay for the Enbrel but the doctors said right off that they would because of how the injectables are treated.
