Guest guest
Oops. I just found out something that shocked me (did this information go right over my head in the past??). Nature-Throid is DISTRIBUTED by Western Research, but is MADE by Time Caps Labs. Yup, I heard it straight from the mouth of Western Research this morning. And.....the rep at Western Research said it was true for Armour.... ....NOPE. The rep at Forest Pharmaceuticals assured me that Forest MAKES Armour! Now....does this mean that Nature-throid is inferior, since some folks here who take Time Caps generic thyroid have found the generic to be less strong than Armour? Not necessarily. Though Time Caps makes a GENERIC NATURAL THYROID and makes NATURE THROID, there are different fillers in Nature-throid, and fillers apparently CAN make a difference in how a product is absorbed by you! More of what the Forest rep said in next post......... Janie
Guest guest
Yes, I read an explanation somewhere, by Time Caps, or someone, that they first made the Westthroid?? I believe. Then, because of so many allergic people, they created an alternative, which is the Naturethroid. I'm doing fine on it myself, though I did a lot of complaining about the texture, and it doesn't dissolve easily, plus the taste. I know it's working, though. I really don't see that many " allergic " fillers left out of it, mainly because anyone can be allergic to so many things, and I think it has even more fillers in it than Armour does. NATURE-THROID is NOT made by Western Research Labs... > > > Oops. I just found out something that shocked me (did this > information go right over my head in the past??). Guest guest
Yes, ! I have noticed the same about the fillers in Naturethyroid--there are MORE than in Armour. So I believe that the term " hypoallergenic " attached to Naturethroid is more of an advertising ploy. Or, since Westhroid contains cornstarch (and causes an allergic reaction in those with a sensitivity to corn), perhaps Naturethroid was termed " hypoallergenic " as compared to Westhroid, since Naturethroid contains cellulose instead of the cornstarch........Armour also contains cellulose....
