Guest guest
Maggie, I have deep muscle spasms also. I use Tonic water with Quinine in it. The quinine is the key to helping for me. Does not work all the time and the suger level and salt level is so high. However this seems to help somewhat. I have cut back to one glass a day. Sometimes I skip a day or two. I have found that I get these spasms when I have completly depleated (sorry for the spelling) all my energy. Or am COMPLETLY STRESSED OUT. And or BOTH. I have to be very careful as the pain is intolerable and can last up to 4 hours. You can not rub it out or walk it out. I just lie in bed, don't move and cry until it passes. My doctor (MITO) tells me that this happens when I have completly depleated all my energy and the two most needy organs that need energy are the heart and brain. So when this happens my body just knows to go to the biggest muscles in my body and ROB energy from them to keep my Heart and Brain going. I most of the time crash after a few days of this. That is why I am not posting a lot. I have been haveing these happen more and more since XMESS. Not a typo. XMESS is what it always is in my family. This year I tried to stay away as much a I could. It helped. This is just my experience. Sorry about the spelling, that has not come back since my stroke. It's a bit better but without spell check I am on my own. Will write more soon to your home. Guest guest
Kim Your doctor may want to prescribe Quinine pills for you to take. That way you don't get the sugar and salt. This is what I use. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2004 14:58:08 -0000 > To: > Subject: pain, Maggie > > Maggie, I have deep muscle spasms also. I use Tonic water with > Quinine in it.
