Seven months ago, I suddenly had a lot of pressure on my bladder that I'd

never had before. I'm 31. I got an ultrasound and was told I had four that

were

2-3 cm in my uterus and that they weren't much to worry about for now. But

it felt weird, so I asked ot have another ultrasound 6 mo later to make sure

they weren't growing.

The second one showed there was also a 13x9x8 cm-sized one outside my uterus!

It had originally been missed. The guy who read it said my bladder had been

blocking it last time. The dr. said maybe the guy had seen the center of it

when it was changing or something. After I got the new ultrasound, they sent

me for a CAT scan, and it was incorrectly determined to be a double uterus.

So they sent me for an MRI, and that confirmed that it was a big fibroid.

Well, all parties recommend a myo and haven't mentioned a hyst, which is

good, since I'm only 31.

The dr. said I can get a second opinion if I want...I think they're right

about my needing a Myo, but maybe 2nd opinions are good before ANY major

surgery...I'm not sure.

What do you think of 2nd opinions, just to be sure? It probably sounds like

I need a Myo, right? What do you think?

**Also, I'm in North Jersey so if anyone has had bad experiences w/any

doctors there, let me know just so I don't end up with yours. ;)

Anyway, this group has been very helpful. I want to say finally that part of

the reason I shared my story was to remind everyone to trust their own body

and ask questions. I'm glad I went for a second ultrasound, because something

didn't feel right.
