Forget the synthetic T4 Synthroid. Have your doctor prescribe Armour Thyroid. Has all the thyroid hormones and most people do much better. But you need some blood work done. TSH, Free T4 and Free T3. If you get your thyroid hormone levels right, conception will be easier and there will not be the high risk of miscarriage that comes with untreated hypothyroidism. Guest guest
Hello all, My name is Donna. I am 34yrs old. I just found out I have hashimoto's disease. I have had nodules since 98. Goiter since 03. Tried sythriod for a few years to help but wasn't working so went off last year. My doc doesn't think drug therapy would work well for me and since I'm trying to get pregnant( have been trying for 15 months now, I have had at least 2 chemical pregnancies, I think this is why I haven't been able to conceiveand carry to term) radiation is out. She wants me to have it removed. I go see a surgeon on Monday. I was hoping someone would know about this disease and what would be good since I'm desperatly trying to conceive. i don't know if I should force trying drug therapy or if it would be better to have it removed.I really want to get this taken care of quickly. Any input will be greatly appreciated. P.S. I'm not a good speller. Thanks, Donna __________________________________________________
