Guest guest
Hi all, First of all I just bought ENZYMATIC THERAPY brand of Adrenal-Cortex Complex. I had to buy a formula without licorice because of my bp. It says it contains ADRENAL CORTEX EXTRACT 250mgs per capsule and MULTI GLANDULAR COMPLEX (liver, lung, pancreas, heart, kidney and spleen) at 100mgs. The bottle says to take one three times a day. How much should I start with and when should I take it? Should I take it with food or not? With Synthroid or not? I took my first one this morning. Second of all, I decided to keep a sleep diary starting in November 2004. I think it is a good idea to do for those people with sleeping problems of one sort or another. Dawn, I think this would be good for you because you can start to see a pattern and possible cause and effect over time.
Guest guest
, I'm not an expert in adrenal issues but I do remember reading somewhere that taking natural supplements that contain all of the hormones sometimes isn't a good idea. With the adrenals you have 2 main hormones that cover the fight or flight responses. With a supplement that contains an extract you get both hormones when your body might only need one. Let's say your body is ok with the fight part but needs more flight. If you take a supplement that has both you end up with more fight which you don't need. I agree with many people who have posted here. Adrenals should not be treated on your own unless you've been tested. And the treatment is tricky. And sometimes natural supplements are not the best thing to take. Louise > > Hi all, > > First of all I just bought ENZYMATIC THERAPY brand of Adrenal- Cortex > Complex.
